Tony Dungy

A few weeks ago Tony Dungy came to our church to speak. We enjoyed listening to him talk; its really inspiring to hear how someone can maintain his christian views in such a cut throat environment. It was also great to hear that if there was no other team left except the Patriots he still wouldn't cheer for them!! YEA!! GO COLTS!!

Halloween Party

Since Halloween fell on a Saturday, I thought it would be fun for the kids to do something before we went Trick or Treating. I had a few of Tyler's friends and their families over for some Halloween crafts, chili, and pizza for the kiddos.
It was really fun and something to consider doing again!
Trying to get the kids to all sit still was impossible. This is the best shot I took!Another try at it. Tyler and RileyMaking Halloween picture frames

Carving Pumpkins

Tyler ready to "carve" his pumpkin. As we were carving them he kept asking when we were going to get his cars to put in the pumpkins. Something was lost in translation!Family shotTyler was very interested in what I was doing to his pumpkin. He had no interest in touching the pumpkin goo though. He said it was too sticky!Looking at our finished product. Pumpkins all lit up!

SCHS Trick or Treating

Our local high school has trick or treating throughout the hallways of its building. We took Tyler last week to get a little candy and some use out of the Halloween costume. He was pumped to learn the concept of getting candy for dressing up.

Getting ready to head inside the school. Big bag ready!

Pregnancy - 25 Week Update

Here's the an update for our little guy.
I guess the first thing to do would be announce his name,
Logan Daniel Gross.
I am a little over 25 weeks pregnant.
My due date is still sometime around Valentine's Day.
I am measuring well and everything looks good!

*How far along? 25ish weeks (for some reason I am having trouble keeping track)

*Total weight gain? 15 lbs

*How big is baby? Measures about 13 1/2 inches and about a pound and a half

*Maternity clothes? About half and half, just about time to give up the regular clothes

*Stretch marks? I am sure some, but its hard to tell what is new

*Sleep? I am getting it, but definitely irregular. He is an active little man when I lay down!

*Movement? Yes, Travis and Tyler have been able to feel him move too. In fact you can see my entire belly move now when he's really on the go.

*Food cravings? Nothing crazy; really love cheese

*Signs of Labor? I certainly hope not!

*Belly button? Still in but getting stretched.

*What I miss? having a cold adult drink after a trying day. I have really needed one lately!!

*What I am looking forward to? Getting closer to my due date to see my little man.

*What the baby looks like this week?

Enjoying Fall

I really wanted to get some fall pictures of Tyler at this beautiful little church down the street from our house. It has four amazing burnt orange trees with leaves all over the ground. Tyler did a pretty good job letting me pose him for pictures. It was a good thing Travis was there to keep him smiling!

Apple Pie

Last weekend at Huber's Family Farm we picked up some yummy apples. I have been waiting for a day with a little time to make Travis' favorite- apple pie. Tyler was a wonderful little helper. He really enjoys helping me cook in the kitchen. Some days I am feeling more brave than others and let him do things by himself. Measuring the sugar for the apples.
Being very careful that he doesn't spill the sugar.

Showing Daddy the measuring scoop.

Hayride

Our friends, Michelle and Mike Cochran, have an annual hayride at their home in New Washington, IN. It was a wonderful evening, and we all had so much fun. Dinner was a bunch of different kinds of chili, wonderful snacks and yummy desserts! After supper, we went to check out all the tractors. Tyler had to sit on each one! When it was dark, we loaded up the big crowd onto three tractors pulling two trailers of people each!! We spent about an hour driving through the country on the hayride. The kids on our trailer had a wonderful time trying to spot the 25 or so deer we saw. Tyler driving the tractor. He had looked forward to this all week!
Not too concerned about getting down any time soon.

Another tractor with Daddy. He loved this one.

The three of us bundled up on the hayride.

Its pretty dark, but this was one of the tractors behind us.
